We're going back!

My wife and I spent a week at Pirates View in October of 2015. We had a ball. The island itself is a wonderful playground. If you’re into shopping, zip-lining, fishing, sightseeing or just hangin’, dinning and drinkin’, Roatan is your place. And the people are super friendly. The house is roomy as all get out, well maintained and very comfortable. Even though it was quite warm and humid while we were there, the room-by-room air conditioning did a bang up job. In the evening, sitting on the back deck, watching the sunset is a real treat. Seven evenings; seven sunsets so beautiful, I must have shot 40 photos.

Awesome Vacation Location!

Perfect place to stay in Roatan! Enjoy an impeccable, spacious home right on the water. The view is amazing! Awesome place to wake up in and have coffee on the porch while enjoying the beautiful blue water. Close proximity to numerous activities such as zip-lining, diving, fishing, exploring, shopping, and dining. Spectacular sunsets from several rooms not to mention the plunge pool and dock. Truly a wonderful place to stay when getting away!
Wonderful owner

Claire was extremely responsive and helpful in my recent and complicated quest for accommodation in Roatan. We ended up not being able to book this property but I can assure anyone interested that the owner was fabulous in all her dealings with us.
A very beautiful place!!!

A very nice place!!!.. Pirates view is everything you see in the pictures and much more!!!.. This was the first time for our family to rent a house in Roatan so we were not quite sure what to expect, but we could not be more pleased with the choice we made. This house was everything we hoped it would be. It is spacious, clean and complete. We were ten adults and we were all very comfortable. We stayed at Pirates View for a week and it was amazing!!!. The outdoor decks on the second and third level are the perfect place to relax and watch the sunset. You can go swimming, snorkeling or kayaking without having to go far...everything you need is in the garage for you to use!!!... The house is only a few minutes away from everything: restaurants, supermarket, gas station, etc. Although taxis are available everywhere, the best thing is to rent a car, especially if you want to explore the island, which is a must. Well...there is not enough I could say about this place. Claire, Kevin and Desiree were at the airport to meet us and escort us to the house. They are wonderful and very helpful. thanks Claire!!!... I will definitely look you up next time I go back to Roatan :)
Roatan rental Pirates View

Great Place, I can not say enough good things about this property; clean, spacious, amenities included potable water, fully stocked kitchen pots/pans, dishes, etc. to cook; local store to purchase food; bath & beach towels, Concierge service. Claire, Kevin and Desiree were available at all times, just a call away from the local cell phones at the house. Spectacular views of the Sunsets from the second & third floor patios, with wade pool on the second floor patio/veranda. We did not snorkel , but there was snorkeling equipment in the garage, and there is a reef a short distance from the pier. The outlook at the pier was nice to sit and watch from. My husband said it was his most relaxing vacation ever, and wants to book again for 2016. Roatan is beautiful, and many activities to partake in, as well as beautiful beaches to relax. Cost of Taxi is not too expensive, but it was better to have a vehicle to go and explore other parts of the Island, as we had 6 adults and one child (4) in our group, it made it much more convenient. Great Trip and wonderful house, secure. Locals are friendly, great food at Thai Place, Blue Bahia, Eagle's Ray, Anthony Keys. We could have had one more couple (4) which would have made the cost around $662 per couple for an entire week, which is very affordable. 5 bedrooms. I am rabbling, but again I can not say enough good things about the property and our experience.

Excellent Vacation Rental - Truly Relaxing Experience!
Guest: Sidonie D | 3/29/15
We had an excellent week at Pirates View with family and friends. This house was the perfect spot - we spent the week there with 2 other couples, along with my husband and four year old daughter. Each couple had more than enough space and privacy when needed. It was great to have the full size kitchen - we were able to eat breakfast in every morning, and at least one other meal every day.
The main level balcony became our main living area. Views were incredible. The small pool was perfect for our four year old daughter. She was able to play/swim in it a TON. It was the perfect space for her, she was able to touch the bottom, and it was well shaded. She thoroughly enjoyed the pool.
The house was very close to lots of fun activities, restaurants, and shopping. Desiree and Kevin were extremely helpful with info and planning any activities! We are definitely planning another trip back!

Great Escape
Guest: Leigh (Salisbury, NC)| 11/17/14
Excellent place for an out of the country experience. If you like to get away from it all in a wonderful house that has everything to offer. This is the one. You have spectacular views from two decks with great lounge furniture on both. A well stocked kitchen. Fabulous shower on second level (shown in pictures). You are only approx 150 yards from the reef so you can snorkel, dive, fish, take a tour of the island, have a night on the town experiencing the island food and drinks, or just relax... plenty of places to do that as well. We had a chef come in one night to cook for us... the food was delicious. There is also a local little restaurant about a two block walk from the house that had wonderful local style food.

Awesome Home and Location
Guest: Terri (Richmond, VA)| 08/14/14
Best vacation ever! We were three couples and two individuals staying in this luxurious 5 bedroom, 5 bath home right on the beach. We never felt overcrowded, even with all eight of us in the common area (although 6 in the plunge pool got a little cozy). The house had all the modern conveniences of home (including satellite TV and Wifi service) with a full kitchen with dishwasher and a laundry room (so you can pack lighter and just run a load of wash mid-week). The best part is the location, right on the beach with a private dock 20 feet from the back door. The reef and the breaking waves are about 200 yards offshore, and you can use the provided snorkeling equipment and kayaks to go out and see the beautiful corals and tropical fish. The back deck and the plunge pool make a nice place to end the day watching the sun set over the Caribbean Sea. In the morning they make a nice place to sit and listen as the island comes to life with kids going to school and fishermen boating along the reef, and all were quick with a hello and a wave. Pirates View is within a quick taxi ride of West End and Anthony’s Key for the shoping, bars and restaurants (You can walk to Anthony’s Key, but the cab ride is easier and safer considering there are no sidewalks along the road). West Bay is a slightly longer cab ride (around 10 minutes), but has more of the “resort beach” atmosphere with shops offering paddle boarding, parasailing and wind surfing along the pristine white sand.

A Jewel on Sandy Bay
Guest: Susan R. | 04/11/14
I stayed here with a group of family members who were in Roatan for a wedding. The wedding was held at one of the big resorts on West Bay, but we chose to stay in Sandy Bay to be away from the crowds, and to have kitchen facilities to prepare our own food. The house is very comfortable and well equipped, and is designed with high end floors and countertops. The beds are comfortable, the air conditioners work well, and there is a good supply of clean water and ice. We made good use of the kayaks and snorkeling gear. We had 2 rental vehicles, one a 4WD pickup truck, and could not fit them both in the parking area inside the gate. It is possible to take a 4WD vehicle around back on the beach and park there, which we did. I would not recommend staying here without a car.
We prepared our own food and ate out only a couple of times. The wedding party that stayed at the West Bay resort almost all got sick with foodborne illness. Those of us who stayed at the house did not. We shopped at Plaza Mar, which is near the Eldon's grocery in Coxen Hole but has lower prices. We bought seafood at the Hybur Seafood market in French Harbour. The seafood is frozen, but reasonably priced and good quality.
We very much enjoyed a day excursion to Pigeon Key with Mango Creek Resort, and diving with West End Divers. Sandy Bay is convenient located between Coxen Hole, for shopping, and West End/West Bay for other attractions.
Overall, if you stay at Pirates View. You won't be disappointed.

What a fabulous place and time!
Guest: Meb816 (Wyoming, MI)| 04/11/14
We looked forward to our trip for a year and we were not disappointed. The house has everything you could possibly need! Claire, Kevin and Desiree ... There are not words enough to describe them. They were there whenever we needed them. We had a couple of glitches along the way but they were handled wonderfully! We couldn't have been treated any better. The snorkeling is great whether you are a first timer or have snorkeled before! Our trip was fabulous and tons of great memories were made!
Comfortable Accomodations
Guest: Steve and Linda(Minnesota)| 02/20/14
We enjoyed a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Pirates View Feb 8-15. The surrounding community is exceptionally peaceful and quiet, as the home sits in a low-key residential neighborhood. The house has all the amenities to make your stay relaxing. The beds were comfortable and the a/c worked well. Our entire group felt safe and never encountered any issues. The dock is spacious and relaxing with world-class snorkeling an approximate 200 meter swim away. We used the provided kayaks to reach the reef to snorkel and found it fairly easy to get in and out of the kayaks with the assistance of a snorkel buddy. The property managers provided the home with two cell phones and always returned any phones calls promptly - heck, they even greeted us at the airport upon our arrival and spent time with us answering any question we had.
